MAJOR PEEWEE CRUSADERS WIN "FIRE ON ICE" TOURNAMENT IN GLENS FALLS, NY
The RWC Crusaders Major Peewee team headed to Glens Falls, NY on Dec. 9th - 11th for the "Fire on Ice" tournament hosted by the Adirondack Youth Hockey Association.
Our first game on Saturday against a team from Warwick, RI ended with a 5-5 tie. Later that afternoon we won 6-5 against the home team Adirondack. Sunday morning we faced off against Bethlehem. They won that game 3-1.
At the end of round robin play, we were 1-1-1 and 2nd in points and would face Bethlehem, who was undefeated in round robin, in the final.
The boys were determined to show the Bethlehem team that they were ready to play hockey. After a very exciting game which went into OT, the Crusaders were CHAMPIONS with a 3-2 WIN. They were all presented with individual trophies and a banner which will hang with PRIDE.
